About the role#
This internship provides technical and compliance support for environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs at our Elkhorn site. You will work alongside our EHS team to maintain safety standards and improve site documentation. This is a full-time, paid position for the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Provide compliance and technical support for occupational safety, industrial hygiene, and environmental programs.
- Reorganize the site EHS SharePoint site.
- Create general EHS Moments for use throughout the year.
- Organize industrial hygiene documentation.
- Simplify site Emergency Response Red Books.
- Revamp the Keep-it-Green environmental waste guidelines.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelors or Master’s degree program in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Biology, or a related technical field.
- Completion of at least two years of college coursework.
- Ability to work full time for a duration of 4 or 6 months.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and computer skills.
- Ability to take direction and implement changes effectively.
- Capacity to identify process inefficiencies and suggest improvements.
- Prior experience in EHS or chemical manufacturing is preferred.
- Ability to explain decisions clearly and work well in a small team is preferred.
