About the role#
The Fixed Income Quantitative Analytics and Technology Co-op Program offers students a chance to apply technical and analytical skills to real-world investment management challenges. You will work alongside portfolio managers, researchers, and analysts to develop tools, automate processes, and support investment decision-making. This program provides exposure to the intersection of finance, data, and technology.
What you'll do#
- Conduct quantitative research to support investment strategies.
- Develop and test models using financial and market data.
- Build automated workflows and analytical tools with Python, SQL, or similar technologies.
- Clean, validate, and analyze large datasets from multiple sources.
- Create dashboards and reports for investment professionals.
- Develop infrastructure for market, holdings, and alternative data.
- Integrate new data sources into existing reporting processes.
- Build tools to monitor performance differences between models and live strategies.
- Automate trading and financial analysis workflows.
- Assist in creating risk and portfolio analytics tools.
- Complete ad-hoc projects to support business needs.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or Engineering.
- Expected graduation date after December 2028.
- Ability to commit to six months of full-time employment.
- Strong academic record with demonstrated problem-solving skills.
- Experience programming in Python, SQL, R, or similar languages.
- Experience working with structured datasets.
- Interest in quantitative research, automation, machine learning, or financial technology.
- Familiarity with tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Dataiku, Bloomberg, or Git.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
