About the role#
Montage International is hiring a Pastry Intern for the Winter 2027 term at Montage Deer Valley. This is a full-time, paid position based on-site in Utah. We look for individuals who enjoy creating pastries where appearance, color, and taste are consistent and high-quality.
What you'll do#
- Prepare food products for the restaurant and banquets according to hotel standards.
- Mentor Cook III and other kitchen staff by providing guidance.
- Maintain knowledge of food products, culinary techniques, and sanitation standards.
- Restock kitchen supplies and ingredients regularly.
- Keep your assigned work area clean.
- Fulfill guest orders promptly with attention to detail.
- Create memorable moments for guests and meet their expectations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned based on business needs.
What you'll need#
- At least one year of cooking experience in a hotel or standalone restaurant.
- A genuine passion for baking and pastry creation.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays and weekends.
- Comfort working in a collaborative team environment.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and move equipment weighing up to 200 pounds.
- Capacity to work in varying temperatures, ranging from freezers to hot kitchens.
- Previous experience in a luxury hotel is a plus.
