About the role#
This Manufacturing Process Engineering Co-Op is a fully in-person program based in Naperville, Illinois. You will work directly with site engineering, operations, and production teams to improve manufacturing efficiency and performance. This role requires you to be in close proximity to the Naperville plant, as you will spend significant time on the production floor observing daily operations and collaborating with technical teams.
What you'll do#
- Analyze production data and line performance to identify downtime or material loss.
- Support projects focused on process optimization, waste reduction, and equipment performance.
- Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma and Total Productive Maintenance methodologies.
- Update process documentation, training materials, and standard operating procedures.
- Partner with site teams to investigate root causes and implement solutions for operational challenges.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Preferred expected graduation date between December 2027 and May 2028.
- Ability to work both full-time and part-time hours throughout the program duration.
- Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship.
Location & details#
- Location: Naperville, Illinois.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: The program runs from early 2027 through December 2027. You must be available for part-time hours during the spring and fall semesters and full-time hours during the summer of 2027.
- Compensation: Weekly pay range of $1,000 to $1,300, based on expected graduation date.
