About the role#
This is a paid Co-op Accountant position within the Tax team for the Winter 2027 term. You will work on-site in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, supporting our Assurance and Accounting team as you build your professional foundation.
What you'll do#
- Build technical skills in audits, bookkeeping, reviews, compilations, and tax.
- Set up files for new clients and newly incorporated businesses.
- Collect information to prepare financial reports and summarize current financial status.
- Review financial documents to investigate and correct discrepancies or irregularities.
- Draft technical reports, client summaries, presentations, and correspondence.
What you'll need#
- You are currently working toward a bachelor degree in commerce or business administration, with a preference for accounting or finance majors.
- You are completing the prerequisites required for admission into the CPA Professional Education Program.
- Previous office experience in an accounting environment is an asset.
- Experience with tax and accounting software is considered an asset.
