About the role#
As a Tax Intern, you will work with our team to gain exposure to a wide range of tax returns and industries. We provide comprehensive onboarding and on-the-job training. By the end of this internship, you should reach a first-year staff level of knowledge. There may be an opportunity for a full-time permanent position after the internship concludes.
What you'll do#
- Prepare personal and business tax returns, including Forms 1040, 1065, 1120, and 1120s.
- Gain experience with Trust returns, specifically Form 1041.
- Learn about tax law and compliance.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- You are an Accounting major, preferably with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
- You are in your senior year or graduate school and are pursuing a CPA designation.
- You have completed a tax course.
- You are in the final semester of your degree plan.
- You are proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- You have strong communication skills.
- Experience with VITA (Voluntary Income Tax Assistance) is a plus.

- This role is based in San Antonio, Texas.
- This is an on-site, paid, full-time internship.
- We are looking for candidates who plan to pursue their CPA certification.
