About the role#
MNP is hiring a Co-op Accountant for the Assurance and Accounting team in Dartmouth for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position. You will work with a team of professionals to provide financial information and support to clients.
What you'll do#
- Develop technical skills in audits, reviews, compilations, tax, and bookkeeping.
- Set up files for new clients and newly incorporated businesses.
- Perform walk-throughs with clients regarding payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and capital asset disposition.
- Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and summarize financial status.
- Investigate, review, and correct irregularities in financial reports and entries.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program in business administration, finance, or accounting.
- Progress toward meeting prerequisites for the CPA Professional Education Program.
- Previous office experience, customer service background, or familiarity with tax and accounting software are considered assets.
