Description: Position Description The End Point Engineering team manages the Windows and Macintosh computers at the Laboratory. This is done through configuration management, security patching, and providing tier 3 support. Our focus is to ensure computers are kept secured while also providing a functional device allowing Laboratory staff to conduct research. Candidate will assist the packaging team in preparing updates for deployment to laboratory computers. Primary task will be Quality Assurance testing before application deployment. A focus on detecting potential defects or faults in software distribution packages is paramount to ensure compatibility and expected functionality in order to reduce risk and increase quality of software delivered into the production environment. The role also holds a high standard in following thorough testing criteria and maintaining of concise and accurate procedural documentation. Primary Duties Quality Assurance Testing for Windows Tests software packages according to defined set of criteria and document results Identify potential risks with software installation and stability of programs Notify team members for proper countermeasures Trouble Ticket support Serves as a bridge between Field Services and Tier 3 Engineering and aids in ticket resolution. Documentation and Training May be required to develop and update documentation in accordance with developed processes. Administrative Support Complete administrative tasks including filing Change Requests and presenting changes Compensation $25-$32/hour depending on years of school completedRequirements Basic Windows computer knowledge.
