About the role#
The Digital Business Technology Infrastructure (DBT) Intern will work alongside technology specialists to support network and server operations. This is a full-time, paid summer internship based in Simi Valley, California. You will handle routine assignments under close supervision while gaining practical experience in an aerospace and defense environment.
What you'll do#
- Assist with daily virtual server and IT networking operations.
- Monitor the on-prem data center floor and inspect device racks for outages or warning notifications.
- Review infrastructure monitoring tools to respond to and document technical disruptions.
- Conduct inventory reviews to verify the operational status of devices and services.
- Validate that service level agreements (SLA) are in place and enforced for enterprise operations.
- Help educate and train personnel on safe work procedures.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 4-year degree program for Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- 0 to 1 year of experience in a related technical field.
- Ability to research and apply DBT compliance regulations to site operations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- U.S. Citizenship is required to comply with ITAR and EAR regulations.
- Certifications in Microsoft, AWS, CompTia, or ITIL are preferred.

- Physical requirements: Ability to work in an office and manufacturing environment, including climbing ladders, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
