About the role#
As a Quality Engineering Intern, you will participate in the full lifecycle of quality inspections, investigations, and process audits. You will work on projects that impact our products and gain hands-on experience with our engineering and manufacturing development processes. This role provides an immersive experience where you will contribute to meaningful work under the guidance of our team.
What you'll do#
- Assist Quality Engineers with investigations into production and customer issues.
- Perform dimensional analysis on products using measuring equipment like calipers and micrometers.
- Participate in team problem-solving sessions.
- Use software tools relevant to your area of expertise.
- Support quality inspections and process audit programs.
- Handle other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD program in Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering.
- A minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong quality engineering aptitude and a desire to build things.
- Knowledge of quality engineering fundamentals, data analysis, drawing interpretation, and process evaluations.
- U.S. Citizenship, Permanent Resident (Green Card holder), or asylee/refugee status.
- Familiarity with SolidWorks, UAV/robotics, or flight test/RC experience is a plus.
Location & details#
- Location: Simi Valley, California.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Commitment: Full-time (40 hours per week) for 8 to 12 weeks.
- Modality: On-site.
