About the role#
As a Corporate Sales and Service Intern, you will support the Iowa Wild Corporate Partnerships team with client services, game day operations, and sales prospecting. This role focuses on maintaining relationships with existing partners, executing sponsorship activations, and identifying new business opportunities to support organizational growth.
What you'll do#
- Assist with day-to-day client engagement and service.
- Help prepare materials for partner meetings and presentations.
- Coordinate sponsorship activations and concourse table setups.
- Assist in organizing and maintaining lead lists for partnership outreach.
- Support outreach efforts by drafting introductory emails and materials.
- Greet and support corporate partners during home games and special events.
- Manage and support sponsorship-related promotions during intermissions.
- Enter and update information in the sponsorship management system.
- Sit in on meetings with potential partners to observe the sales process.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Sales, Business Management, Marketing, Communications, Public Health, Sociology, or a related field.
- Customer service experience.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with database management tools such as CRM.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively and manage time effectively.
- Previous experience in the sports industry is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Des Moines, Iowa.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Approximately 30 hours per week, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed for games and events.
- This is a paid, part-time, seasonal position.
- Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks such as walking, standing, and bending.
