About the role#
The Gameday Intern supports the execution of event-day initiatives to improve the fan experience and retain Season Ticket Members. You will assist with arena set-up, promotional activities, and group sales efforts. This role acts as a representative of the Iowa Wild at games and community events to build relationships and support ticketing goals.
What you'll do#
- Implement and set up initiatives aimed at Season Ticket Member retention.
- Support arena set-up and game night operations.
- Assist the Group Sales team with pregame, in-game, and postgame requirements.
- Represent the team at community events to network and run sales promotions.
- Converse with prospective Season Ticket Members and group buyers during games.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Sales, Business Management, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with database management tools like CRM.
- Customer service or sports industry experience is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively and maintain a positive attitude.
- Capacity to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks like walking, standing, and bending.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, part-time, seasonal role based in Des Moines, Iowa.
- Work is on-site and requires availability for nights, weekends, and holidays as needed for games and events.
