About the role#
The Brand Merchandise Intern supports the Iowa Wild retail operations. You will assist with inventory management, game day store setup, and fan service. This role helps maintain an organized shopping environment and contributes to the execution of retail campaigns. You will work approximately 20-25 hours per week, including nights, weekends, and holidays to cover home games.
What you'll do#
- Manage daily and game day merchandise operations.
- Organize and restock merchandise while maintaining accurate inventory counts.
- Handle tagging, barcoding, and the launch of new products.
- Process transactions using POS systems and fulfill e-commerce orders.
- Assist with store setup and teardown for game days.
- Support retail campaign timelines and deliverables.
- Provide customer service to fans and maintain a positive environment for staff.
- Stay informed on current promotions and sales.
- Handle multiple tasks simultaneously and accept constructive feedback.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor degree or equivalent experience.
- One year of retail experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in product photography and Photoshop.
- Experience in customer service, retail merchandising, or the sports industry.
- An outgoing personality and a service-oriented mindset.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks like standing, walking, and bending.
Location & details#
- Location: Des Moines, Iowa.
- Status: Part-time, seasonal, and paid.
- Schedule: Must be available for all 2024-2025 Iowa Wild home games.
