About the role#
The Star District is looking for a Marketing Intern to join the team in Frisco. This part-time, one-year internship supports the shopping, dining, and entertainment destination at The Star. You will report to the Senior Marketing Manager and work with property management and tenants to handle daily communications, event coordination, and digital content. We need someone who can manage multiple projects and keep track of marketing assets, event budgets, and project timelines.
What you'll do#
- Manage day-to-day communications with Star District tenants and support tenant outreach, surveys, and promotional requests.
- Build relationships with tenants by attending meetings and collecting assets for marketing channels.
- Assist with the planning and execution of retail and community events, including onsite marketing support and post-event reporting.
- Contribute to social media calendars, email marketing campaigns, and website updates.
- Gather assets for paid media campaigns and update digital signage across the campus.
- Coordinate with public relations partners for seasonal event announcements.
- Maintain project trackers, calendars, and administrative tools.
- Monitor industry trends and conduct competitive market research to share creative recommendations.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Advertising, or a related field.
- Previous internship or experience in events, retail marketing, or communications is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, WordPress, email marketing platforms, and project management tools.
- Knowledge of social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
- Ability to work occasional evenings, weekends, and special events.
- A detail-oriented approach with the ability to manage multiple tasks at once.

- This role is based in Frisco, Texas.
- This is an on-site, part-time position, up to 30 hours per week.
