About the role#
The Communications and Multimedia Intern will support the communications department by creating digital content and providing technical assistance for events. This role offers hands-on experience in translating policy analysis into accessible formats while developing skills in graphic design, social media, and audiovisual production.
What you'll do#
- Produce visual media including maps, infographics, thumbnails, and social media posts.
- Support the production and editing of video and podcast content.
- Assist with audiovisual needs and photography for events.
- Participate in team meetings, seminars, and training sessions.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in or recent graduation from a bachelor's program in International Relations, Political Science, Middle East Studies, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
- Demonstrated interest in the Middle East and multimedia production.
- Familiarity with or a strong desire to learn Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and Microsoft Office.
- Interest in photography or audiovisual production.
- Enthusiasm for learning and developing new professional skills.
Location & details#
- Location: Washington, District of Columbia (On-site).
- Term: Fall 2026 (September 8, 2026, to December 11, 2026).
- Commitment: Minimum of 15 to 20 hours per week.
- Compensation: This is an unpaid internship.
