About the role#
The Programs and Events intern supports the planning and execution of public and private webinars, roundtables, panels, and conferences. This role involves working across departments to ensure programming remains timely and relevant while fostering discussions on Middle East-related issues.
What you'll do#
- Assist with event-related research, outreach, and planning.
- Support interdepartmental communication regarding event logistics.
- Attend webinars, roundtables, and panels to take notes.
- Analyze event data to help identify new public engagement opportunities.
- Assist with administrative and operational tasks as needed.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in or recent graduation from a bachelor’s program in International Relations, Political Science, Middle East Studies, Communications, Management, or a related field.
- Strong interest in the Middle East and event planning.
- Experience in event management, marketing, and outreach or communications.
- Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office.
- Enthusiasm for learning and developing new skills.
Location & details#
- Location: Washington, District of Columbia (On-site).
- Term: Fall 2026 (September 8, 2026 to December 11, 2026).
- Commitment: Minimum of 15 to 20 hours per week.
- Compensation: This is an unpaid internship.
