About the role#
This is a full-time, paid co-op position for Winter 2027. You will work on-site at either our Carmel, Indiana or Eagan, Minnesota office. Please note that we do not offer visa sponsorship, including OPT or CPT.
What you'll do#
- Work on analytical projects that help MISO understand emerging trends, large-load behaviors, market dynamics, and long-term reliability implications.
- Contribute to real analyses, including reviewing load forecasts, evaluating emerging risks, creating dashboards, summarizing trends, and supporting cross-team strategic initiatives.
- Work directly with your manager and mentor, and connect with a cross-departmental buddy to grow your network.
- Attend interactive lunch and learn sessions led by industry experts.
- Participate in community service projects, social events, and networking opportunities.
- Present your project findings and recommendations to department leaders and company executives at the end of the term.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Economics, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Political Science, Public Policy, or a related field.
- Strong critical thinking and research skills with an interest in strategy, policy, market dynamics, or risk assessment.
- Proficiency in Visual Studio Code, GitHub, Power BI, PowerPoint, and other common analytical tools.
- Curiosity, an eagerness to learn, and a commitment to respect and collaboration.
- Excitement for working with real-world datasets, dashboards, trend reports, long-term planning materials, and strategic briefs.
- Ability to communicate clearly and synthesize insights for leadership audiences.
