About the role#
This position supports the Social Work Department at Messiah University. You will handle general office tasks and assist the Department Administrator and Chair with daily operations. This is a paid, on-site role for the 2026-27 academic year.
What you'll do#
- Assist the department chair and administrator with various tasks.
- Create flyers, posters, and social media content.
- Prepare newsletters and help with website updates.
- Contact alumni and assemble folders for open house events.
- Prepare materials for senior presentations held in the spring.
- Handle general office duties and other tasks as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Publisher.
- Ability to create posters, manage spreadsheets, and send professional emails.
- Reliable attendance and a consistent work schedule.
- Previous office experience is helpful but not required.
- Students majoring in Psychology, Communications, Sociology, or Business Administration are encouraged to apply.

- Term: Fall 2026 through the 2026-27 academic year.
- Pay: $8.00 per hour.
