About the role#
Messiah University is hiring students to work in the Lottie Dining Hall. You will assist with dining and catering services to ensure guests have a positive experience. This position offers $11.00 per hour and a free meal with every shift.
What you'll do#
- Present and serve menu items in a timely and attractive manner.
- Interact with customers and team members with a friendly attitude.
- Keep work stations clean and fully stocked.
- Assist coworkers at other stations when your area is slow.
- Maintain consistent and reliable attendance.
- Clean equipment and facilities as directed.
What you'll need#
- Ability to work well with people and communicate effectively.
- Capacity to work independently without constant supervision.
- A positive, self-motivated approach to your tasks.
- Prior food service or catering experience is helpful.
- Ability to lift 30 pounds using proper technique.
- Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, and lift for long periods on hard surfaces.
- Availability to work day, evening, and weekend shifts.
- Willingness to follow the dress code, which includes wearing a black shirt, jeans, closed-toe shoes with socks, and a hat with a nametag.
