About the role#
The Registrar’s Office at Messiah University hires student workers to help students, faculty, and other visitors navigate academic procedures and policies. You will support the office staff with daily operations and administrative tasks during the 2026-27 academic year.
What you'll do#
- Answer phones and greet office visitors, providing polite and accurate information regarding academic policies.
- Distribute and file correspondence and forms.
- Scan and index academic documents, such as grade rosters, transcripts, and grade changes.
- Update and query student education records in Banner, including registration, academic history, and demographic data.
- Assist with general office workflow, data maintenance, and special projects.
- Shred documents according to record retention schedules.
- Help with special events like Commencement and new student registration.
- Maintain consistent and reliable attendance.
What you'll need#
- A personable, friendly, and professional attitude.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills in MS Word and Excel, with a willingness to learn new software.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of student information in line with University policy and legal requirements.
- Preferred: Previous experience in a professional office environment.
- Preferred: Ability to lift approximately 25-pound boxes or large bags of shredded paper.

- Compensation: $8.00 per hour.
