About the role#
The Administrative Fellow works closely with the Executive Team to support system performance and strategic initiatives. This full-time role involves managing projects across areas like hospital operations, finance, strategic planning, and human resources. You will serve as a project leader, attend Executive Council meetings, and prepare materials for the Board of Directors Retreat. This position requires travel between Mercyhealth locations and may involve extended hours to meet urgent deadlines.
What you'll do#
- Lead or coordinate assigned projects and committees.
- Organize administrative materials and maintain accurate records for Executive Meetings.
- Build working relationships with partners, leaders, and the Executive Team.
- Assist with the annual Mercyhealth budget preparation.
- Recruit and train the next cohort of Administrative Fellows.
- Seek mentorship and feedback from the Executive Team.
- Maintain a confidential work environment at all times.
What you'll need#
- Recent graduate or currently enrolled in an accredited Master's level program in Health Administration (CAHME preferred).
- Completion of all required coursework before the fellowship start date.
- Strong administrative, organizational, and records management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation abilities.
- Ability to prioritize work and exercise flexibility.
- Strict attention to detail.
- Relevant work experience in a hospital or health system is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Janesville, Wisconsin, with travel to other Mercyhealth sites.
- Schedule: 40 hours per week.
- Work Modality: On-site.
