About the role#
As a Construction Asset Management Intern, you will support the team by managing project data and loan documentation. You will work on real projects that contribute to our business operations. This role includes guidance from a manager and a mentor to help you navigate your daily tasks and professional growth. You will also participate in weekly Development Days, which cover resume reviews, mock interviews, and training on professional networking and workplace communication styles.
What you'll do#
- Review monthly construction reports to track progress against budgets and timelines.
- Assist in the review of construction budgets and loan documentation.
- Process and track draw requests and disbursements.
- Conduct research on market trends, construction costs, and project risks.
- Participate in meetings with Loan Officers, Asset Managers, and project teams.
- Learn and apply software tools used in loan servicing and project tracking.
- Develop a comprehensive end of internship project to present to executive leadership.
- Assist with time-sensitive and high-impact projects as needed.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least your sophomore year of college or status as a recent college graduate.
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Current pursuit of a degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Urban Planning, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including proficiency in Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- An interest in multifamily housing and community-focused real estate.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Prior internship or coursework in real estate or finance is helpful.
