About the role#
This is an 11-week, full-time internship program for Summer 2027. You will gain hands-on experience across our supply chain organization through projects that impact the business. This role provides exposure to various areas including manufacturing, distribution, logistics, and merchandising. You will also have the chance to interact with senior leaders and participate in an executive speaker series. This experience may lead to consideration for future full-time roles, such as the Meijer Supply Chain Rotational Program.
What you'll do#
- Improve how products flow through our end-to-end supply chain.
- Support initiatives in inventory planning, network optimization, and capacity utilization.
- Use data analysis and cross-functional collaboration to develop recommendations for service levels and costs.
- Evaluate inventory strategies and weeks of supply targets.
- Assess network design and distribution strategies to support product freshness and operational efficiency.
- Develop Power BI dashboards and analytical tools to track inventory and network performance.
- Present final project results to senior executives.
What you'll need#
- Progress toward a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Statistics, Logistics, Operations Management, or Engineering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with analytical tools such as Excel, Power BI, or SQL.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a curiosity to interpret data.
- Ability to build positive working relationships with team members and leadership.
- Focus on customer needs and results.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
