About the role#
This 11-week internship provides hands-on experience within the Meijer Supply Chain organization. You will work with the Continuous Quality Improvement (MCQI) team to identify operational constraints and improve efficiency. This position is full-time and based on-site in Grand Rapids, Michigan, for the Summer 2027 term. Successful interns may be considered for future full-time roles, including the Meijer Supply Chain Rotational Program.
What you'll do#
- Improve operational performance by supporting cross-functional initiatives.
- Apply data analysis, structured problem solving, and project management practices to evaluate business processes.
- Conduct time studies and process analyses to identify bottlenecks.
- Develop actionable recommendations to improve service, productivity, cost, safety, or team member experience.
- Build business cases for potential capital investment opportunities.
- Enhance visibility and reporting through data analysis and dashboard development.
- Engage with stakeholders and present findings to senior executives.
What you'll need#
- Progress toward a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Analytics, Economics, or Engineering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with analytical tools such as Excel, Power BI, or SQL is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a drive for results.
- Ability to build positive relationships with team members and leadership.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- A customer-focused mindset.
