About the role#
This is an 11-week, full-time internship program for Summer 2027. You will work alongside core merchandising teams to learn the strategic and tactical sides of product flow. The program includes technical training, networking events, and final presentations to senior leadership.
What you'll do#
- Participate in technical development training for systems like Excel, MicroStrategy, Dunnhumby, and Nielsen.
- Analyze product flow concepts and the product life cycle process.
- Collaborate with supply chain, logistics, Digital Marketing, and Category Management teams.
- Review consumer insights, positioning metrics, and industry trends.
- Develop seasonal category business plans and participate in conceptual assortment planning.
- Validate new item accuracy, item master set-ups, and product outdates.
- Assist with ad development and resolve proofing discrepancies.
What you'll need#
- Progress toward a Bachelor's degree in merchandising, supply chain, business administration, finance, economics, retail, or logistics.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data from various reports.
- Knowledge of the retail industry, including category management and customer behavior.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications and a willingness to learn new systems.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships.
- A focus on the bottom line and customer needs.
- Previous retail experience is preferred.
