About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience within our Research and Development team. You will work alongside full-time engineers to manage new product development projects. The program lasts 10 weeks, running from early June through mid-August. You will gain insight into the day-to-day responsibilities of product design and engineering within a large medical equipment manufacturing organization.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to product development projects as assigned by management.
- Research competitors and evaluate new features or designs.
- Interact with internal stakeholders to identify key design aspects of device projects.
- Review and submit intellectual property documentation.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Computer, or Biomedical Engineering. Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
- Junior standing with a 3.0 minimum GPA is preferred.
- Unrestricted permanent US work authorization.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with product development and prototype fabrication is preferred.
- Familiarity with design projects and programming skills are beneficial.

- Compensation: This is a paid internship with an anticipated hourly range of $23.25 to $33.75.
