About the role#
Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Company, LLC is hiring Site Engineer Technician interns for the summer of 2026. This full-time, paid internship runs from May to August. You will work on-site at various project locations across the United States. The role involves hands-on experience in maritime construction, including dredging and land reclamation projects.
What you'll do#
- Prioritize safety in all work environments and daily tasks.
- Perform land and hydrographic surveying to support construction management.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on dredge production.
- Complete daily quality control and dredge reports.
- Provide general operational support to your team.
What you'll need#
- You must be a senior student in Civil, Ocean, Environmental, Geotechnical, or Mechanical Engineering, or Construction Management.
- You must be available to work from May through August.
- You are able to work a 7-day per week schedule.
- You are comfortable working 8 to 12 hours per day.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site role with projects located in multiple states including Illinois, New York, New Jersey, North Carolina, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Louisiana, Texas, Arkansas, Missouri, and Virginia.
- The internship is full-time and paid, with overtime pay provided for hours worked over 40 per week.
