About the role#
As an Android Platform Software Engineering Intern, you will work on software for products that form the core of our communication systems. You will join a team that develops technology for federal and public safety markets, supporting organizations like Police, Fire, and EMS.
What you'll do#
- Design and develop microprocessor-based digital communication systems.
- Manage software development phases, including requirements capture, design, implementation, and testing.
- Use TDD and Agile methodologies to complete your development tasks.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
- Proficiency in Java, Android Studio, and the Android SDK.
- Experience with embedded software development using Object Oriented Design.
- You must be a US Citizen, a permanent resident, or a master-level student with F1 visa CPT eligibility.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is based on-site in either Plantation, Florida, or Schaumburg, Illinois.
