About the role#
We are looking for a Software Engineering Intern to join our Device Management team in Plantation, Florida. You will work on enterprise-level Windows applications that help manage fleets of two-way communication devices for public safety. This is a full-time, paid summer internship for 2027.
What you'll do#
- Develop, design, and test software within an Agile/Scrum team.
- Maintain existing systems and perform system integration of software and hardware.
- Collaborate with team members across multiple global sites.
- Identify, track, and fix software defects.
- Work with C#/.NET, WPF, Java, and SQL databases.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
- Your graduation date is December 2027 or later.
- You are a US Citizen, permanent resident, or an MS student with work authorization.
- Familiarity with C#/.NET on Windows, C++, or Java.
- Experience with SQL, WPF, Entity Framework, CoreWCF, REST, and OpenSSL.
- Experience using Visual Studio 2017 or greater, Git, and Jira.
- Proficiency with Google Suite and Confluence.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
