About the role#
We are looking for an Engineering Student to join our FPGA department for the Winter 2027 term. You will work from our Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue office on a full-time basis. You will report to a Senior Designer and contribute to FPGA development for space applications, including robotics, radar imagery, and digital signal processing. Tasks are assigned based on your current level of schooling and experience.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with senior designers to develop VHDL modules for FPGA integration.
- Assist the verification team with functional testing.
- Help maintain and improve the FPGA development infrastructure.
- Document design processes and outcomes.
- Provide support during laboratory testing.
What you'll need#
- Completion of your third year in a bachelor's degree program for Electrical or Computer Engineering.
- A minimum academic standing of 3.2/4.0.
- Proficiency in French and English.
- A sense of initiative and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
- Experience with one or more of these languages: VHDL, Verilog, SystemVerilog, Tcl, Python, C, or C++.
- Familiarity with Linux, Confluence, Jira, SVN, and GIT.
- Ability to obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level.
- Ability to pass security assessments for the Controlled Goods Program and ITAR.
