About the role#
This is a full-time internship for the Winter 2027 term based in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, Quebec. You will work under the supervision of the Production Manager as part of a team of AI&T engineers and technologists. The role focuses on the industrialization of printed circuit board products within our manufacturing environment.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate manufacturing activities for Microwave Integrated Circuits in our clean room laboratory.
- Act as a liaison with the design group to refine production processes and PCB designs.
- Participate in Design for Manufacturing reviews for new product introductions and prototyping.
- Perform analysis of components and PCB footprints.
- Contribute to internal qualification campaigns to gather data on PCB reliability for space applications per NASA standards.
- Define, publish, and maintain manufacturing process specifications, equipment operating procedures, and AI&T functional flows.
- Create and modify engineering documentation and design manufacturing tools.
- Track parts from inspection through to assembly and test stations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program in Electrical, Automated Production, Aerospace, Computer, or Industrial Engineering, with at least two years completed.
- Proficiency in both French and English for written and oral communication.
- Knowledge of PCB manufacturing processes, including SMT and through-hole.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and take ownership of assigned tasks.
- Adaptability and an aptitude for balancing technical analysis with practical action.
- Interest in the aerospace industry and the specific challenges of the space environment.
- Desirable: Experience with VBA, Python, SQL, Altium Designer, Xpedition, or CAD software.
