About the role#
This is a 16-month co-op term for an Operations Project Engineer focused on New Product Introductions. You will work within the Operations NPI team to help launch new products and variations into production. Your work involves contributing to process changes to solve problems and improve effectiveness. You will handle smaller, project-based tasks while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure product serviceability and quality.
What you'll do#
- Lead and participate in projects related to Operations activities.
- Partner with project and cell teams to resolve technical issues and develop new system processes.
- Support daily cell team activities and assist in creating manufacturing processes for production.
- Capture and analyze data from frontloading activities.
- Review change requests from engineering and mechanical staff and implement updates.
- Support other business priorities as directed by Operations leadership.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering program at a college or university.
- Experience with a solid modeling CAD package, specifically SolidWorks.
- Familiarity with electro-mechanical manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
- Strong interest in shop floor control activities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a project-based environment.
- Strong technical communication skills, both verbal and written.
- High attention to detail and a goal-oriented mindset.
- Experience with SolidWorks, Composer, and AutoCAD is preferred.
