About the role#
The Data Hub Communication Intern supports communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement activities for the Data Hub Canada technology team. This role focuses on translating complex information regarding data, operations, and agile methodologies into clear communications for clients, business partners, and internal team members.
This is a learning opportunity for students or recent graduates to gain practical experience in corporate and technology communications, change management, and digital transformation.
What you'll do#
- Assist with communications for Data Hub clients and business stakeholders, including status updates, service notices, release notes, and training materials.
- Support internal communication activities by creating clear, brand-compliant content that explains team initiatives, priorities, and results.
- Collaborate with the Data Hub Canada technology team to understand data requirements, solution contexts, and delivery progress.
- Create and edit communication deliverables such as newsletters, intranet posts, presentation content, FAQs, and process guides.
- Support documentation and knowledge management by organizing content related to Data Hub processes, roles, and operational models.
- Identify target audiences and key messages while maintaining a consistent communication flow for delivery and support activities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a post-secondary program in Communications, Public Health, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify technical information.
- An interest in corporate, internal, and change communications.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to work effectively in a professional environment while handling sensitive information.
