About the role#
This is a 10-week summer internship based in Hunt Valley, Maryland. You will work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from June 7, 2027, to August 13, 2027. This role involves direct support for analytical development and testing activities within our R&D department.
What you'll do#
- Perform hands-on sample preparation, data acquisition, and analysis.
- Write technical reports based on your findings.
- Conduct an independent research project that includes a formal proposal, execution, and a final oral presentation.
- Collaborate with analytical scientists and technologists to deliver project results.
- Gather data from various sources and manage your assignments to meet specific deadlines.
- Work independently to solve problems and learn new laboratory tasks.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student for the 2026-2027 academic year.
- Major in Analytical Sciences, Chemistry, Food Science, Organic Chemistry, or Natural Product Chemistry.
- Minimum overall GPA of 3.0 and a 3.25 GPA within your major.
- Previous experience working in a chemistry lab.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in an organized manner.
