About the role#
This is a 10-week summer internship based in Hunt Valley, Maryland. You will work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from June 7, 2027, to August 13, 2027. This is a paid, full-time position.
What you'll do#
- Work alongside team members on daily product development tasks.
- Complete a focused project assigned by your manager and present your results to the team at the end of the summer.
- Prepare samples, conduct testing, and gather data.
- Provide hands-on support to internal product and process development teams.
- Collaborate with scientists and technologists to deliver project results.
- Conduct prototype formulation, technology research, and competitive product benchmarking.
- Cross-train with departments such as Sensory Science, Process Development, Test Kitchen, and Culinary.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate Junior or Senior, or a graduate student in Food Science, Culinary Science, Nutrition Science, or a related field.
- A minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Beginner cooking skills, with intermediate skills preferred.
- Ability to work independently, solve problems, and take initiative.
- Demonstrated organizational and planning skills.
- Experience in a laboratory or kitchen environment, data analysis skills, and familiarity with food science concepts are preferred.
