About the role#
The Flavor Solution, Beverage Lab Intern will join the Flavor Application and Creation team in Hunt Valley, Maryland. This is a full-time, 10-week summer internship program running from June 7, 2027, through August 13, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Support daily flavor customer activities, including preparing and tasting samples, gathering data, and managing shipments.
- Work alongside the internal beverage and food technical team to provide hands-on project assistance.
- Collaborate with scientists and technologists to complete ad hoc projects.
- Perform flavor application, prototype formulation, base improvement, bench testing, and competitive benchmarking.
- Maintain a clean and safe lab environment by organizing supplies, cleaning equipment, and following safety protocols.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate Junior in a relevant field such as Food Science, Chemistry, Culinary Science, or Nutrition Science.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to work independently, solve problems, and manage multiple tasks.
- Experience in a laboratory or kitchen environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with food science concepts, data analysis, and beverage formulation calculations is preferred.
- Strong initiative and organizational skills.
Location & details#
- Location: Hunt Valley, Maryland.
- Modality: Hybrid.
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
