About the role#
The Research & Development Intern will support Bunge operations through internal technical support projects. You will work with the Bunge NA Oil ITS team to test and evaluate processes and products in both lab and factory settings. This role involves analyzing data and making recommendations for process improvements.
What you'll do#
- Conduct physical, chemical, and sensory testing and evaluation of products.
- Investigate product quality, functionality, and sensory attributes.
- Perform data measurement of products.
- Conduct root cause analysis to support product and process improvements.
- Make recommendations for next phase improvements.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
- A strong foundation in physics, chemistry, and biochemistry.
- Demonstrated interest in food, ingredients, laboratory research, or product development through coursework or projects.
- A collaborative mindset and a desire to work in a team environment.
- Willingness to communicate and share thoughts with peer scientists.
- Ability and availability to travel between the Chicago area and St. Louis.
