    About the role#

    The Quality and Regulatory Intern will join a manufacturing team in Hunt Valley, Maryland. This role focuses on standardizing and improving food safety, quality systems, and regulatory compliance. You will lead two to three impactful projects while working alongside cross-functional teams. This position is part of a 10-week summer program designed to provide exposure to real-world business challenges and leadership engagement.

    What you'll do#

    • Implement food safety and quality policies and standards.
    • Develop and document process improvements.
    • Support sanitary design reviews for capital projects.
    • Assist with FDA nutrition labeling compliance initiatives.
    • Lead or execute Clean-in-Place (CIP) validation.
    • Update site food safety plans, hazard analyses, and procedures.
    • Perform Statistical Process Control (SPC) analysis and improve system capabilities.
    • Resolve quality issues and customer complaints.
    • Support new product scale-up and commercialization.
    • Participate in professional development, networking, and Talent Acquisition events.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in an undergraduate program with a graduation date 6 months to 1 year from the end of the internship.
    • Pursuit of a degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Biological & Physical Sciences, or a related field.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and understand quality and regulatory strategy.
    • Skill in proposing creative decisions and analyzing data to create actionable insights.
    • Capacity to communicate technical information to internal partners.
    • Proficiency with technology tools and programs.
    • Understanding of quality and regulatory excellence within at least one part of the product lifecycle.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Hunt Valley, Maryland.
    • Term: Summer 2027 (June 7, 2027 to August 17, 2027).
    • Work Modality: On-site, full-time (40 hours per week, Monday through Friday).
    • Note: This position does not offer visa sponsorship.
