About the role#
As a Platform Engineering Intern, you will join the FABRIC team to help build a machine-managed AI and Operations platform. You will work on capturing and codifying organizational knowledge across Compute, Storage, Mainframe, and HP environments. This role focuses on converting institutional expertise into reusable automation, standardized workflows, and Infrastructure-as-Code patterns to support critical payments infrastructure.
What you'll do#
- Codify organizational knowledge across Compute, Storage, Mainframe, and HP platforms into controlled AI-driven operations.
- Develop and maintain a machine-managed AI and Operations platform that transforms expertise into reusable automation assets.
- Deliver operational dashboards that provide real-time visibility into tasks, objectives, automation adoption, platform health, and key performance indicators.
- Accelerate modernization and resiliency by enabling self-service automation and driving continuous improvement.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelors degree program, with an anticipated graduation date between December 2027 and June 2029.
- Proficiency in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with Python development and scripting.
- Familiarity with Ansible for automation and configuration management.
- Experience using Git or other source code management tools.
- Working knowledge of Unix/Linux environments.
