About the role#
Marvell Technology is hiring a Firmware Engineer Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid position based on-site in either Santa Clara or Westlake Village, California. You will work on embedded firmware for hardware platforms such as SSD controllers and DSP networking chips.
What you'll do#
- Develop and maintain embedded firmware for advanced hardware platforms.
- Design and implement device drivers and firmware features for communication protocols including SPI, I2C, I3C, UART, and PCIe.
- Create and improve automation scripts for testing, failure analysis workflows, and infrastructure management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to handle system integration, debugging, and performance optimization.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- An expected graduation date between Fall 2027 and Summer 2028.
- Proficiency in Python or C.
- Foundational knowledge of computer architecture, networking, and embedded systems.
