About the role#
We are looking for a PhD student to join our data and analytics team as an Applied Machine Learning Scientist Intern. You will work alongside data scientists and engineers to build predictive models and deliver insights that support business operations and leadership.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the team to gather, clean, and preprocess data from multiple sources.
- Perform exploratory data analysis to find patterns and trends in large datasets.
- Assist in building and optimizing machine learning models to solve business problems.
- Create data visualizations, reports, and dashboards using Power BI or Python libraries.
- Support the development and deployment of machine learning models in production.
- Work with large datasets using SQL and Python.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python for data analysis, including libraries such as pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, and matplotlib.
- Knowledge of SQL for querying databases.
- Understanding of statistical concepts and machine learning algorithms like regression, classification, and clustering.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI, seaborn, or Plotly.
- Experience with data preprocessing and transformation.
- Familiarity with Generative AI and Large Language Models is a plus.
