About the role#
Marvell Technology is seeking an Analog Design Intern to join the Broadband Analog group for the Fall 2026 term. This role focuses on the design and validation of FET and BiCMOS circuits for high-speed broadband integrated circuits used in optical fiber data communication. The position is based on-site in Westlake Village, California.
What you'll do#
- Perform active-circuit design, including leading-edge transimpedance amplifiers using SiGe BiCMOS and advanced CMOS technologies.
- Develop transmission line structures and other millimeter wave structures to enhance performance.
- Design high-performance broadband analog circuits for optical front-end receivers, as well as various analog circuits such as linear regulators, AGC loops, current/voltage sensors, and bandgaps.
- Collaborate with functional groups to facilitate post-silicon validation, qualification, and transition to mass production.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis on analog/mixed signal IC design.
- Proven experience in high-performance receiver design, including chip tape-out and lab evaluation.
- Solid experience with EDA CAD tools and performing analog custom layout.
- Experience measuring IC performance and debugging designs to correlate simulations with physical measurements.
- A deep understanding of fundamentals, including detailed transistor-level design, device physics, and control/feedback loop stability analysis.
- Strong communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
