About the role#
The Financial Planning Intern supports our staff in servicing high net worth and ultra high net worth clients. You will gain hands-on experience in advisory, consulting, and business development by assisting with client onboarding, meeting preparation, and the creation of financial plans.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and process paperwork for client onboarding.
- Schedule client meetings and create materials to explain financial concepts.
- Observe client meetings to see how advisors build relationships and solve challenges.
- Perform follow-up tasks such as research, documentation, and solution development.
- Use CRM and financial planning software for data management and plan development.
- Assist with account maintenance, money movement, data entry, and plan modeling.
- Contribute ideas during team discussions and collaborate on special projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor or master degree program with graduation expected within 12 months.
- A major in finance, financial planning, wealth management, or a related field.
- Demonstrated leadership experience through work or extracurricular activities.
- Interest in a client-facing advisory career.
- Strong customer service orientation and organizational skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate complex topics in a clear, relatable way.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Curiosity about financial markets, planning strategies, and client motivations.
