About the role#
As a Financial Planning Intern at Mariner, you will support our staff in providing financial planning and relationship support to high net worth clients. This position offers hands-on experience in advisory, communication, and business development skills. You will work directly with advisors to assist with client onboarding, meeting preparation, and the creation of financial plans.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and process paperwork to support client onboarding.
- Schedule client meetings and create materials to explain financial concepts.
- Participate in follow-up tasks such as research, documentation, and solution development.
- Use CRM and financial planning software for data management and plan development.
- Assist with data entry, plan modeling, and compiling deliverables.
- Contribute to team discussions regarding client service and business development.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Your expected graduation date is within 12 months of the start of the internship.
- You have demonstrated leadership experience through work or extracurricular activities.
- You are proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- You have a clear interest in pursuing a client-facing advisory career.
- You possess strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate complex topics simply.
