About the role#
Marathon Petroleum offers internship and co-op opportunities for college students to gain hands-on experience in the energy industry. You will work alongside experienced professionals as a contributing member of a team. This program provides exposure to various IT functions and allows you to build your skill set through practical, real-world projects.
What you'll do#
- Act as a liaison between IT and business units to translate requirements into system solutions.
- Support the development and execution of cloud strategy within the existing infrastructure.
- Evaluate, test, monitor, and maintain cybersecurity policies and procedures.
- Assist with system configuration, performance testing, and troubleshooting to ensure reliability.
- Contribute to the software development lifecycle, including design, testing, and deployment of solutions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Business Administration, or Data Science.
- Strong academic performance.
- Authorization to work in the United States on a full-time indefinite basis without the need for visa sponsorship.
- Military experience is considered a plus.
