About the role#
We are looking for an Ecommerce Digital Merchandising Intern to join our team for the Fall 2026 term. You will work closely with our ecommerce and marketing departments to shape how products are presented and discovered online. This is a hands-on role where you will learn how digital merchandising strategy influences customer experience and site performance.
What you'll do#
- Maintain and update product listings, categories, and collections on our ecommerce site.
- Manage on-site merchandising tasks including product placement, sort order, cross-sells, and featured collections.
- Plan and execute seasonal, promotional, and campaign-driven site updates.
- Monitor and report on key ecommerce metrics to inform future merchandising decisions.
- Audit product pages for accuracy, image quality, and SEO content.
- Collaborate with marketing, creative, and buying teams to align merchandising with brand campaigns.
- Support A/B testing and optimization of site navigation and search.
- Conduct competitive research and trend analysis to support assortment needs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Marketing, Business, Retail/Merchandising, Communications, or a related field.
- Strong interest in ecommerce, digital retail, or online merchandising.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and basic data analysis in Excel or Google Sheets.
- Strong written communication skills and a proactive, collaborative attitude.
- Familiarity with ecommerce platforms like Shopify, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, or Magento is a plus.
- Basic understanding of SEO, UX, or web analytics tools is a plus.
Location & details#
- This internship is based on-site at our New York, NY headquarters.
- Interns must be able to work on-site at least 2 days per week.
- The position requires a commitment of at least 24 hours per week.
- This is an unpaid internship for college credit only.
