About the role#
The Stephanie Lovell Honors Fellowship Program is a two-year initiative for entry-level attorneys. It provides an opportunity to practice law and policy within the largest public sector legal office in Massachusetts. The program runs from September 2027 through September 2029. It aims to attract candidates from diverse backgrounds who reflect the communities served by the Commonwealth.
What you'll do#
- Complete three rotations through different areas of the office.
- Receive training and guidance from experienced attorneys to build professional skills.
- Engage in the practice of law and policy across areas such as civil rights, health care, consumer protection, and criminal prosecution.
- Seek continued employment with the office during your final rotation.
- Take the Massachusetts bar exam no later than July 2027.
What you'll need#
- Status as a third-year day or fourth-year evening law student graduating in 2027, or current full-time judicial law clerk who received a J.D. prior to 2027.
- Commitment to public interest law.
- Demonstrated engagement and leadership in school or community activities.
- Flexibility and interest in a variety of legal subject areas.
- Ability to be admitted to the bar before the start of your second-year rotation.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid position with a salary of $78,000 plus benefits.
- The role is based in Boston, Massachusetts.
- Work is performed under a hybrid model, including both remote and in-office days.
