About the role#
This is a full-time, paid co-op position for the Winter 2027 term. You will work within the ALM Group, supporting investment desks across North America and Asia. This role is based in Toronto and follows a hybrid work model.
What you'll do#
- Perform regular and ad hoc performance reporting and analysis for General Fund bonds, swaps, and mortgages.
- Apply statistical methods to review and estimate bond market benchmarks.
- Design and build automated solutions for manual processes using Visual Basic, MS Excel, and MS Access.
- Create a weekly financial market indicators dashboard for Senior Management.
- Maintain communication with the Front Office and other internal functions.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an undergraduate degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or Economics.
- 3-5 terms of prior co-op or summer experience in the investment industry.
- Sound knowledge of fixed income instruments.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Excel, MS Access, Visual Basic, and SQL.
- Proven ability to perform statistical analysis.
