About the role#
The Derivative and Asset Modeling team develops quantitative models for asset and derivative valuation and risk analytics. This team supports portfolio management, trading, and investment strategy across global regions. As a co-op, you will contribute to model development, validation, and implementation activities.
What you'll do#
- Support the development and enhancement of valuation curves, derivative and asset models, and pricing tools.
- Assist in the ongoing monitoring, review, and performance assessment of models and curves.
- Maintain internally developed tools, the curve database, and the model inventory.
- Support market data research, analysis, and validation efforts.
- Contribute to ad hoc initiatives and special projects.
What you'll need#
- An advanced degree or professional designation in Mathematics, Finance, Physics, Engineering, Statistics, or Actuarial Science.
- A solid understanding of quantitative finance and contingent claim theory.
- Familiarity with the pricing of fixed income, interest rate, and equity derivative investments.
- Programming experience in Python, C/C++, MATLAB, or VB/VBA.
- Knowledge of stochastic modeling and numerical techniques, including optimization.
- Ability to analyze problems, research solutions, and manage implementation.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
