About the role#
As a Logistics Intern at MAHLE, you will work directly on the shop floor to support warehouse and material flow operations. This position focuses on project execution and practical problem-solving to improve efficiency and accuracy within the department. You will have the chance to shadow logistics leaders to learn about plant operations and departmental functions.
What you'll do#
- Support warehouse organization initiatives by verifying bin locations and improving labeling systems.
- Maintain accurate inventory and bin configurations, including updates related to HVAC warehouse changes and P4M rollout activities.
- Participate in yard management efforts to reduce trailer counts and improve trailer flow.
- Implement visual communication tools, such as displaying shipping schedules on dock monitors.
- Observe shop floor processes to identify inefficiencies and help implement practical solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support daily logistics operations.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration.
- A proactive, hands-on, and results-oriented mindset.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to balance project-based work with operational support.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a preference for Excel.
- Interest in logistics, warehousing, or manufacturing operations.
